After having my second child in autumn of 2011, I wanted to get fit and lose the weight that I had gained during pregnancy. Going to the gym is always time consuming and I knew that I would always be able to find an excuse not to go. That is when I started to think about having a personal trainer come to my home. I thought that it would help motivate me to stay on track and also would mean that I would have a routine that would suit me. Each session is different so that you never get bored. A personal trainer in your house gives you the flexibility to fit exercise into your weekly routine and get the results that you want. Since we adopted Phil Calvert’s training sessions, our players are stronger, faster and fitter. His methods are modern and incorporate different facets from different sports. This means that players are now gaining strong core fitness, along with greater speed, agility and strength. He makes the sessions enjoyable but tough. Tough enough to get the best out the players. I know that with Phil’s training sessions we will be a better rugby team this year. We will be fitter side, meaning we are better equipped for the challenges ahead. I believe that this will be the best prepared squad we have had for several years. We are looking forward to the coming season.

Before I started training with Phil I was suffering from a plateau and I felt like I wasn’t seeing much benefit from my regular exercise routine. I’d also tried a huge list of fad diets and failed with all of them. Phil has jump started me, and helped me refocus my goals.
Phil’s approach to exercise, diet and healthy living have all helped me reach my targets. More importantly, I’ve been able to bring my body fat levels down into a healthy range which I never thought would be possible. Now I feel like no goal is too big and anything is possible. Phil gives you confidence to try new things and he will always push you to improve. My strength, endurance, agility and mental focus have all improved as a result.

My name Scott and I have been a member at Greens Health and Fitness for 6 years. During that time I had been training with friends and never felt the need for a personal trainer. I was then approached by Phil Calvert who guaranteed me that I would drop body fat and increase muscle mass rapidly. During 2 months having being guided through his metabolic style diet and weight training program. Durring this program I have lost 7% body fat and gained 9% lean muscle mass. Which has made me feel really good about my shape and more energetic throughout the day.
I started training with Phil in September 2009 after a summer of travelling that left me unable to fit into half my clothes. Since then I have lost 14kg and am now training for a 10k, something that seemed impossible only a few months ago. Phil is so supportive and encouraging, and it's purely thanks to his help that I have made this much progress. My target is to lose another 15kg and I have no doubt that with Phil's support I will achieve my goal.
I first hired Phil when he was a trainer at LA Fitness, initially to devise a general fitness programme for me along with a specialised programme to help with a knee injury which was going to result in surgery.
Through Phil's own research and developing a programme specific to my needs I no longer need surgery and my overall fitness levels have increased significantly. When Phil moved to Green's I had no hesitation in following him to this gym. He is motivational, great to work with and makes a workout at the gym fun.
