There is no price you can put on health as an individual, however the health and wellbeing of your staff have a massive cost implications. How much does it cost if a member of staff is off ill with stress, back pain or an obesity related illness? Your employees are your biggest asset. In order for your staff to maintain a healthy life they need to take regular exercise and understand the nutrition that they take. This will lead to a proactive workforce that has a good sense of wellbeing and enjoys good health.

We want your workforce to see and feel the benefits of being fitter and healthier, and with the help and support of our staff here at Fitness & Wellbeing Training Ltd you are in very capable hands. With our range of fitness packages your staff will be motivated to achieve their own fitness goals and together achieve your company goals.

The growing importance of Corporate Social Responsibility in recent years has put increasing demands on companies to improve employee engagement and retention, and to win the hearts and minds of staff in order to gain support and improve the long term productivity of the workforce.

On a more practical note – It is widely recognised that exercise is one of the most effective ways to combat stress. In 2009/10, an estimated 9.8 million working days were lost through work-related stress. On average, each person suffering from work-related stress took an estimated 22.6 days off in 2009/10. This equates to an annual loss of 0.42 days per worker. (Source HSE web site).

Obesity affects production through increased sickness absence, but also as a result of premature death. It can be estimated that approximately 4% of claims result directly from the consequences of obesity. This equates to some 2.6 million days of work lost per year, or a potential cost of lost work days of around £195 million. This figure excluded those associated with short term sickness absence, although it has been shown that people with BMI greater than 30 have a 51% higher short and long-term sickness absences than those in the normal weight range. Traditionally businesses have not engaged successfully with the fitness and wellbeing of their staff, probably due to the expense or lack of services available to do so. If they have it has been a very costly exercise in providing expensive corporate gym membership, and often only for the senior teams.

Corporate Training with Fitness & Wellbeing Training Ltd. offers a cost effective solution to supporting the fitness and wellbeing of your staff, providing them with fitness consultations and individual exercise programmes, giving them access to discounted personal training sessions and the opportunity to attend lifestyle changing boot camps.
